We are an inter-denominational cell based Christian church founded by
Dr. Korbet and Melanie Swope. We are multi-cultural, racially divers, and
non-exclusive. We are Biblically conservative, evangelically motivated,
and charismatic.
Dr. Swope, a Chattanooga native, has served the Lord over twenty
years in various local and Para church ministries. He accepted the call
into ministry in the Summer of 1986 and has been pursuing his personal
calling to serve the Lord ever since. He met and married Melanie while
attending Bible school in Cleveland, Tennessee in 1989. In 1992, while
serving as youth pastors to a local church, they felt God leading them to
venture out and begin a new work. In June of that year they establish
“Abundant Life Family Church” in East Ridge, Tennessee where they
served for over 3 years. After Abundant Life they continued working with
other local churches, including “Central Baptist” were Korbet served as a
senior staff pastor for 3 years, and Para church ministries like
“Evangelism Explosion III International.” In 2005 They again sensed God
was leading them to a new work and after praying and fasting they felt
compelled to establish the Cross Culture Christian Church on Father’s
Day of that same year.
